A ductless air system can provide air conditioning only, or air conditioning and heating combined.
A ductless air system is sort of like a combination of a conventional A/C or heat pump system and a window unit air conditioner. It has an exterior condenser and an indoor evaporator unit which contains a cooling coil, a fan and various controls. The condenser and evaporator units are connected by means of electrical wires and refrigerant tubing.
The advantages of ductless air systems.
Right off the bat, one of the main advantages of ductless air systems is their small size, which makes them extremely easy to install and while providing flexibility that you won’t find with central air conditioners. Many models of ductless air systems can accommodate up to four indoor blower units connected to one outdoor unit. Plus, each wall blower can be controlled with its own individual thermostat.
Ductless air systems save energy.
Ductless air systems can circumvent all the energy losses associated with leaking ductwork. Losses from ductwork can sometimes account for more than 30% of energy consumption – especially if ducts are in an unconditioned space such as the attic.
Ductless air systems are quiet.
With a ductless air system, there’s none of the noises you get from central air conditioners firing up and blowing air through your house! You’ll love the quiet, and enjoy the comfort…and remote control operation.
Wall Blowers can be Installed in Multiple Locations.
Ductless air wall blowers can be suspended from the ceiling, mounted flush in a drop ceiling, hung on a wall, or even standing on the floor! In addition, most indoor blowers keep a low profile at no more than seven inches deep and come with sleek, high tech jackets that will enhance the look of any room.
