Why You Should Have a Sump Pump and a Backup System.

Okay, some people call it “spring,” but for all too many people in Southern Indiana, they’re one and the same.

You see, during the winter, your lawn soaks up a lot of moisture.  When the spring rains come pouring down on top of all that, the extra water simply can’t be absorbed.  Still, it has to go somewhere, and it will always pursue the path of least resistance.  Yes, that includes your basement.

• If and when your main sump pump come back on, the backup pump will shut itself off.
