Here’s one that most people don’t even consider a leak. The next time you take a shower, check to see if water also is dripping from the tub spout. Another thing to check is your showerhead once your turn off the faucets. If it continues to leak for up to two minutes, you should consider replacing it. And if you do see water dripping from the tub spout during a shower, next time place a bowl under it. If it collects at least a coup and a half of water then, on an annual basis, you’re wasting a significant amount of wasted water.

And it can also create a fire hazard if the water comes in contact with exposed or frayed electrical wires
