Portable fixtures can provide lighting for temporary situations.

A functional work area and adequate storage space depend on the purpose of the garage workshop. For example, a car enthusiast or hobbyist will want rolling tool chests to bring needed tools close to the car. A workbench with headroom and seating works well for woodworking, painting, or electronics projects. Certain hobbies require smaller parts, tools, and accessories so a cabinet with clear drawer fronts offers easy identification.
