Now in Our 6th Decade of Continuous Service.

Messmer Mechanical began serving the indoor comfort needs of families, businesses, and organizations in 1970. Founded by Jerry and Linda Messmer, technical and customer service excellence have always been our primary focus. In that regard, nothing has changed.

Throughout our company’s formative years, Jerry made a point of hiring only the best qualified plumbing and HVAC technicians, and made sure they were ably supported by an all-star cast of administrative staffers. 

Strict adherence to Jerry’s vision helped the family business to grow at an accelerated pace. Hence, in 1973, the company moved to our current location on 3rd Avenue in Jasper, and here we’ll remain for the foreseeable future.

    Keeping it All in the Family

    Jerry and Linda’s son Ed joined the company full time in 1983 as the business expanded into new areas, including utility and military construction. Four years later the company was renamed Messmer Mechanical and Ed Messmer was named company president. That same year Ed’s brother Mark joined the family business, followed three years later by Roger (the youngest son of Jerry and Linda), who brought his considerable talents to bear for our residential and commercial clients.

    In 1998, Messmer Mechanical joined The Nexstar Network, an international “best practices” association of plumbing, heating, cooling, and electrical contractors. Nexstar’s world-class training and educational tools and programs have helped propel Messmer Mechanical into a solid position of leadership among area service contractors.

    Three Generations Strong

    Ed Messmer’s son Logan and Mark’s son Luke are now key players on our team as we continue to uphold the strong foundation established more than 50 years ago by Jerry and Linda.

    Today, we offer all the core plumbing and HVAC services you would expect while embracing new technologies and related services – such as indoor air quality and water treatment – to further enhance indoor living and working conditions.
